For new and potential clients, our design and development process consist of 8 steps. At WHATASITE.COM, we understand that not all clients have the same requirements and the work flow can vary depending upon those requirements.

Step 1 - Tell us about the scope of your project.
An initial contact is made via our web form or by telephone (902.497.6599 or outside Halifax at 1.800.344.2824). We will contact you to discuss your project requirements, budget and time line during a consultation session. This step can be done either via telephone, via e-mail or preferably via a one-on-one meeting at your place of business so that we may best understand your organisation's unique requirements.
Step 2 - How much will this cost?
Following your instructions provided in Step 1, we prepare a quote based on your project requirements and send this to you via e-mail. The quote takes in a range of prices for the low-end to the high-end of the usual project costs. The final bill is always based on the hours of work performed so organisation and up-front planning are the best way to keep development costs to a minimum.
Costs also depend on how much you already have in place for your web project and what you may need us to prepare on your behalf. Some clients have their logo, general design, text, photographs, and other files already for use while others may require new photographs, an original logo or other design, PDF forms be developed, text be written, video taken, and so on. The more you have usually results in a lower final price.
Step 3 - Secure your investment.
In order for WHATASITE.COM to proceed with the design and development of your project, WHATASITE.COM will require a security deposit that can be made by cash, by cheque or by credit card either via telephone (902.497.6599 or outside Halifax at 1.800.344.2824) or via our secure on-line form.
Step 4 - Let us show you what we can do for you.
After receiving your security deposit, WHATASITE.COM will prepare a proof of your project based on your requirements. At this stage, you will be asked to approve the product you have requested and advise us of any potential revisions. If any revisions are required, we will then prepare another proof based on the requested revisions and provide you with another copy.
Step 5 - Putting the wheels in motion.
Once WHATASITE.COM has received you approval on the proof, we will then proceed with the design, development and finalization of your project. You will be kept up-to-date via e-mail on the status of your project with a progress report.
Step 6 - The delivery.
Upon project completion, WHATASITE.COM will then either deliver you project files to the printer or upload your web site files to the server, depending on the requirements discussed in Step 1.
Step 7 - All good things must come to an end.
At months end, WHATASITE.COM will then prepare and send you a total bill for the work performed on your project. If you require any special payment arrangements, please inform WHATASITE.COM of this after receiving your quote stated in Step 2. Payments can be done by cash, by check or by credit card either via telephone (902.497.6599 or outside Halifax at 1.800.344.2824) or via our secure on-line form.
